Martin Montoya

Martin Banner

In Memory of Martin Montoya

On Christmas Eve of 2020, Martin was taken to the ER with a strong pain in his   chest. We thought he had pulled a muscle. A couple of hours later, the doctor told us   there is something in the catscan and he was sure it was cancer. Martin was a very close picture of health and always went for check ups and bloodwork. We were shocked.

After a 13 month battle with mesothelioma Martin left this world. While I miss him terribly, I am so thankful his suffering has ended and he free from that terrible disease.

I didn’t know what to do with his page on this site. I couldn’t just take it down. So it will serve a reminder of the unique person he was. I would like to thank everyone for all the acts of kindness that was extended to our family during this time.

I will miss my travel partner and all the amazing places we went together.

Fly high my Martin, I will always look for you in clouds every time I am on an airplane and in the crowded streets of Europe.  Until then… I love you! – Wendi Mon

“The Food Man”

#YouAndMeEatingByTheSea        #TravelHutMartin

Food is my passion.  My mission is to share with you the best places to eat while you are traveling.  I never forget a great meal and excited to tell you about all the food options. I have been known to eat just about any food served. If you are interested in a quiet beachfront dinner or a nice dinner with a group, I can tell you about some great options!

Somebody has to try all the foods and yes I have been wonderfully surprised and devastatingly sick.

All food is not created equally and that is why you need me!
